Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Fairfield County Man Becomes First CT Native To Medal In Swimming At Olympics In 33 Years A swimming standout from Fairfield County has become one of the first Americans to win a medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Former Ridgefield High School standout Kieran Smith took third place in the 400-meter freestyle on Saturday, July 24. The 22-year-old Smith finished with a time of 3:43.94 to take the bronze medal. That makes him the first Connecticut native to medal in swimming at the Olympics since Janel Jorgensen in 1988, according to Connecticut Swimming. 28-Year-Old Long Island Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash A Long Island man was killed in a two-vehicle crash overnight. It happened Saturday, July 2 at about 11:25 p.m. in Holtsville. A 41-year-old Glen Head man was driving a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas eastbound on Fairview Avenue, attempting to make a left turn onto Country Road 83, when his vehicle was struck by a 2021 Ducati motorcycle traveling southbound on County Road 83, Suffolk County Police said. Suspect At Large After Robbery At Long Island Chase Bank A suspect is on the loose after a robbery at a Long Island bank. It happened at the Chase Bank on Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24. 18-Year-Old From Fairfield County Selected In First Round Of NHL Draft Mackie Samoskevich's immediate plans are to attend the University of Michigan as a freshman this fall. But the 18-year-old from Fairfield County now also has a future as a professional ice hockey player. Three Killed In Shooting Inside NY Residence Police are investigating a shooting that killed three people inside a residence in New York. The incident happened on Long Island just after noontime on Friday, July 23 in Suffolk County. Officers responded to 132 Overlook Drive in Farmingville after a family member called 911 at 12:06 p.m., police said.
