After 46 years, Vitale's Restaurant in Teaneck is closing its doors. The Queen Anne Road restaurant started as a family business when Tony LaMorte, the current owner, was 22 years old. Dad Killed In Franklin Township Crash Was Driving Home From Work, Loved Ones Say
Support is on the rise for a New Jersey family after their patriarch was killed in a crash after work. Alex Folnagy, 31, of Somerset, was the sole occupant of the 2010 Nissan Altima that crashed head-on with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler just before 7:25 a.m. on Amwell Road near South Middlebush Road in Franklin Township, Franklin Township police said. Folnagy was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver and passenger of the Wrangler sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Paterson Man, 55, Killed In Head-On Crash After Moving To NJ For Better Life: Campaign
Authorities have released the identity of the person killed in a crash on Route 23 earlier this week. Hamid Shabuddin, 55, of Paterson was a passenger in a 2005 Toyota Camry that collided head-on with a 2021 Ford F-150 at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the northbound lanes in Riverdale, a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office said. Shabbudin was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the Camry was taken to a hospital. A New York man has been charged with money laundering on accusations he stole $432,000 from an elderly New Jersey resident in a home improvement scam, authorities said. Abba Cohen, 42, of Flushing, NY, received the money in his bank account as payment for a home improvement scam on an elderly Woodland Park resident, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. 2 Trapped In 4-Sedan Crash Involving Corvette On Route 46 In Hasbrouck Heights: Firefighters
Two people were extricated in a four-vehicle crash along Route 46 in Bergen County on Tuesday evening, Oct. 15, firefighters said. The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department responded to Route 46 and Collins Avenue around 6:30 p.m. where two people were trapped in the vehicle. Squad 1 and Wood-Ridge firefighters extricated the victims, who were treated by EMS for their injuries. Photos appear to show all four sedans, including a Corvette, heavily damaged. 3-Alarm Fire Rips Through Irvington Homes, Smoke Billows For Miles
Nine families were displaced and one person was injured in a three-alarm fire that ripped through Irvington rowhomes Tuesday evening, Oct. 15, police said, The fire broke out in a vacant residential building at 71 Montgomery Street and spread to multiple other homes around 5 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
