Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Murder Suspect Apprehended After Fleeing From Police In Maryland: Sheriff A wanted man has been arrested in Prince George's County in connection to a July attempted murder, authorities say. Nathan Farmer was taken into custody on Wednesday, Aug. 17 in connection to the incident in the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road on Tuesday, July 19, according to Prince George's County police. Police arrived at the scene of the crime to find the victim on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound after Farmer and the victim allegedly got into an altercation, police said. Detectives Investigating Fatal Prince George's County Shooting Of Virginia Teen Detectives have identified a Virginia teen killed in a Capitol Heights shooting over the weekend, authorities say. Carlos Benitez-Arevalo, 19, of Manassas was found suffering from a gunshot wound outside of a gas station on the 1300 block of Richie Road around 2:40 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 21, according to Prince George's County police. Child Injured After Jumping Off 50 Foot Cliff Into Shallow Water In Baltimore County A child is recovering after jumping off of a 50-foot cliff in Baltimore County, authorities say. Fire and rescue units were called to the area of 18100 Prettyboy Dam Road to rescue an injured patient who had jumped into shallow water the evening of Sunday, Aug. 21, according to Baltimore County fire officials. The child had reportedly jumped off of a 50-foot cliff, they said. Units from both Baltimore and Carroll Counties assisted in the rescue. No additional information was immediately released.

Man Shot In Foot During Baltimore Shooting A man is recovering after being shot in the foot in Baltimore over the weekend, authorities say. Officers responded to a shooting report shortly before 9:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21 in the 1000 block of North Milton Avenue, according to Baltimore police. The 31-year-old victim was later found on the 2500 block of East Hoffman Street, investigators said. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
