Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Murder: 20-Year-Old Maryland Man Charged In Fatal Shooting A Bladensburg man is awaiting extradition to Maryland after admitting his role in connection to a fatal District Heights shooting, authorities say. Daquon Parris, 20, was arrested in Colonial Heights, Virginia for the murder of Tremayne Crawford, 34 according to Prince George's County police. ID Released For Driver Killed After Fatal Crash Involving Maryland Metrobus The identity of a 25-year-old Silver Spring man killed in a multiple vehicle collision that sent one crashing into a Metrobus has been revealed, authorities say. Ovidio Aroldo Gonzalez Cortez was pronounced dead on the scene after the collision in the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Lockwood Drive the night of Sunday, July 24, according to Montgomery County police. Maryland Chiropractor Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child Met Through Video Game: Sheriff A Baltimore chiropractor has been arrested in Stafford, Texas after allegedly traveling there to sexually assault a child he met online, authorities say. Blake Edward Kalkstein, 37, was arrested in the 700 block of Dulles Avenue around 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, July 6 according to Fort Bend County police. Firefighter Injured Extinguishing Baltimore House Fire A firefighter was injured after a residential fire erupted in Baltimore this morning, authorities say. The firefighter was assisting in containing the fire in the two-story home in the 1500 block of Latrobe Park that started around noon, Monday, July 25, according to Baltimore Fire officials. Anne Arundel Woman Airlifted To Hospital After Being Stabbed By Florida Sailfish: Reports A 73-year-old Anne Arundel woman received the shock of her life when a sailfish impaled her in the groin during a fishing trip, according to multiple reports. Her companions applied pressure to the wound after the Arnold woman was stabbed by the pointed bill of the 100-pound fish as it was being reeled in off the shore of Stuart, Florida, officials said. Doggone Good Rescue: Paramedics Come To Aid Of Puppy Stuck In Prince George's Fence A paramedic crew took a chance on a new kind of patient after noticing a runaway in Capitol Heights, authorities say.
