Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Teenage Boy Shot At Anne Arundel County Playground A teenage boy was shot near a Severn playground in an early afternoon attack, authorities say. The 15-year-old victim was shot in the 8100 block of Meade Village Circle shortly before 1 p.m., Thursday, July 7, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Initial investigation revealed that a group of four black males pulled up to the playground in a dark SUV and began shooting toward the playground when the boy was struck. Man Rushed To Baltimore Hospital After Being Shot In The Face A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the face in a late-night Baltimore attack, authorities say. The 24-year-old victim was located by officers around 10:14 p.m. on the 400 block of North Port Street, Thursday, July 7, according to Baltimore Police. The victim was then transported to an area hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown on Friday, July 8. Southeast District detectives are investigating this incident. Baltimore Man Arrested For Fatal June Vehicle Shooting: Police A Baltimore man who shot and killed another man in his vehicle was arrested, authorities say. Darryon Edwin Cephas, 23, allegedly shot and killed Curtis Jones, 33, in the 400 block of West Mulberry Street on June 15, 2022, according to Baltimore Police.
