Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Inmate With Last Name 'Smothers' Kills Another Prisoner In Prince George's County A Prince George's County inmate with a peculiarly coincidental last name has been charged for the killing of another inmate this week, authorities said. Brandon Smothers, 26, fatally stabbed Domonique Thurston, 27, at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections on Dille Drive around 12:45 p.m., Monday, June 20, according to Prince George's County Police. Arrest Made In Deadly Stabbing Of Woman Outside DC Restaurant A suspect has been arrested in connection to the deadly stabbing of a woman last month while standing outside of a carryout restaurant in DC. Ebony Morgan, 42, was chatting with friends outside of Full Yum Carry Out in the Northeast section of the city when Cana Browne, 25, stabbed her on May 10, 2022, according to Metropolitan Police and NBC4. Police Continue Search For Missing Germantown Boy Police are asking for the public's help locating a missing Germantown teenager, authorities say. Abdul Raheem Joppy, 13, was last seen on the 11800 block of Eton Manor Drive on Sunday, June 19, according to Montgomery County Police. Boy Hit By Car While Getting Off Bus In Montgomery County: Police A boy was hospitalized after being struck by a car while getting off a bus in Montgomery County, authorities said. The boy exited a Ride-on bus and was struck near the intersection of Woodfield Road and Clearspring Drive around 6:24 p.m., Monday, June 20, according to Montgomery County Police. Maryland Man Convicted Of Stabbing Victim Dead While Daughter Watched: State Attorney A 27-year-old Maryland has been convicted of stabbing a man dead while his daughter watched, authorities announced. Justin Andrew Wilson, 27, of Germantown, stabbed 63-year-old Egidio Ienzi 13 times with a fixed-blade knife inside of his Germantown home on July 23, 2020, the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office said.
