Hit-Run Kills Pedestrian In Central PA: Police UPDATE: The vehicle but not the suspect involved was located on Monday, police said in an updated release. ORIGINAL: A man died following a hit-and-run on Saturday, according to police. The pedestrian was hit by a dark-colored 2005-6 BMW X5 SUV in the 200 block of South 17th Street around 9 p.m. on July 8th, the police detailed in a release. Child Bicyclist Struck In Ephrata: Police A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, police announced. The boy was hit by an 83-year-old Akron driver's vehicle after around 7:40 a.m. on July 8, 2023, Ephrata police explained. The crash happened at the intersection of South State and West Fulton streets in Ephrata Borough.
