Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Of Sugar: Report A 56-year-old man from Philadelphia was killed after crashing head-on into a tractor-trailer carrying 42,000 pounds of sugar in South Jersey, NJ Advance Media reported.  Hien Dinh Nguyen was driving an SUV east on High Hill Road in Logan Township at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 when he veered into the oncoming lane, the outlet said, quoting Logan Township Police.
