Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

NJ Turnpike Blocked By Tractor-Trailer Crash: State Police The northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike were blocked after a tractor-trailer crashed, authorities said. The truck became fully engulfed in flames at about 5:55 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, State Police said.  The crash occurred at milepost 30.6 in Cherry Hill Township. No injuries were reported and the truck was removed shortly after 7 a.m., a State Police spokesman said.  The cause and circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.

Serious Tractor-Trailer Crash Reported On NJ Turnpike: State Police New Jersey State Police are investigating a tractor-trailer crash with serious injuries, authorities said. The crash occurred at about noon on Wednesday, Jan. 16 near interchange 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike in South Brunswick Township.
