Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Car Drives Into House In Central Jersey A car reportedly drove into a house in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. on Erin Place in Hazlet, according to initial reports. It was unclear if anyone was home at the time of the crash.  Two of the cars' occupants were trapped with minor injuries, according to an unconfirmed report.  There was heavy structural damage to the house, reports said. Woman, 73, Struck, Killed By Train At NJ Crossing New Jersey Transit authorities have identified the person struck and killed by a train at a Jersey Shore crossing. Cynthia E. Sussman, 73, of Belmar was struck at 9:19 a.m. Sunday in Spring Lake by a North Jersey Coast line train, according to a NJ Transit spokesman. The train was traveling from Long Branch to Bay Head. There were 25 passengers on board. None of them were hurt.

Woman, 38, Caught Trying To Steal TVs From Jersey Shore Walmart: Brick PD A 38-year-old woman from Lakewood has been arrested for trying to steal televisions from a Walmart store on the Jersey Shore. The woman reportedly used a tool to try and cut off security tags from the TVs, according to a spokeswoman for Brick police.
