Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Two Pedestrians Injured, One Critically, In Hit-Run Crash At Long Island Intersection Two pedestrians were injured, one critically, in a hit-and-run crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened on Monday, Feb. 3 at approximately 6:30 p.m. in Bay Shore. The two victims were walking northbound on the sidewalk of Fifth Avenue, before crossing Fairtown Road, when they were struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Fifth Avenue, making a right turn onto Fairtown Road, Suffolk County Police said. Man Struck, Killed By Car On Long Island Roadway A 24-year-old man was killed after being struck by a car on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened on Monday, Feb. 3 at 9:08 p.m. in Inwood, Nassau County Police said. While attempting to cross Mott Avenue, from the east side to the west side, the man was struck by a 1995 Honda traveling northbound on Nassau Expressway, according to police. The man suffered multiple injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:22 pm by a hospital physician. Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Long Island Girl A 15-year-old Long Island girl has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. Dairi Pinto, was last seen leaving her Hempstead residence on Remsen Avenue on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 a.m. Her disappearance was reported to police on Monday, Feb. 3 at 4:15 p.m. She is described as being 5-foot-2, 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Bank Robbed For Second Time In Two Days At This Long Island Hamlet A suspect is on the loose for the second time in as many days following a bank robbery in a Long Island hamlet. The latest bank to be robbed in Farmingville was the Sterling National Bank. It happened on Monday, Feb. 3 at about 10:10 a.m., Suffolk County Police said. Area Resident Charged With Attempted Murder After Shooting Into Neighbor's House, Police Say A 70-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after shooting into a neighbor's house in the area, state police said. The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 in Dutchess County. UConn Senior From Fairfield County Killed In Crash A University of Connecticut student from Fairfield County has died from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle rollover crash. The crash happened around 4 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 in Coventry, Connecticut, about seven miles west of UConn's campus in Storrs. Area College Athlete, 19, Dies After Six-Story Fall In NYC A freshman student-athlete at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut has been identified as the person found dead on the ground near The Vessel, a sculpture at Hudson Yards in Manhattan.
