Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Killed After Van Crashes Into Pole At Busy Long Island Intersection An investigation is underway after a man was killed when the van he was driving went off the road and struck a pole at a busy intersection on Long Island. It happened just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 in Deer Park. Michael Scavone, 70, was driving a 2003 Ford Econoline southbound on Commack Road when it veered off the road and struck the pole at the intersection of Long Island Avenue at 9:36 a.m. Scavone, of Dix Hills, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead. Missing Long Island 3-Year-Old Found Update: A 3-year-old boy who was reported missing after police say his mother failed to surrender custody to Child Protective Services earlier this month has been located. 17-Year-Old Killed After Car Crashes Into Pole, Tree On Southern State Parkway A Long Island teenager was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Southern State Parkway. It happened on Saturday, Jan. 25 at approximately 11:30 p.m., state police said. Joseph Bertolino, 17, of East Meadow, was driving a 1999 Honda Accord eastbound on the parkway, just east of Babylon at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, according to police. Long Island Man Stabs Mother, Father During Domestic Dispute, Police Say A Long Island man stabbed both of his parents during a domestic dispute, police say. It happened on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 12:20 p.m. in Old Bethpage. Don't Fall For It: Alert Issued For Text Message Package Delivery Scam Police departments throughout the nation are warning the public about a new text message phishing scam that looks to be from FedEx or another delivery company about a package. Suspect On Loose After Man, Woman Stabbed During Robbery At Long Island Residence, Police Say A suspect is at large after a man and woman were stabbed during a robbery at a Long Island residence. It happened on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3:20 a.m. in Uniondale. Nassau County Police Department officers responded to a call on Hempstead Boulevard for a possible stabbing.
