Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Woman Drove Drunk With 10-Year-Old Daughter In Car, Police Say A 35-year-old Long Island woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law following an overnight traffic stop. Nassau County Police say that after being pulled over in Freeport on Henry Street and Freeport Plaza East, Syreeta Rawlins, of Roosevelt, was found to be driving in an intoxicated condition.  In the vehicle at the time of the stop was her 10-year-old daughter, police said. Man Who Worked At Training Center In Area Sexually Abused Minor, State Police Say A 36-year-old man has been accused of sexually abusing a minor for two years while the suspect worked at a training center in the area. Orange County resident Carlos E. Hernandez, of Montgomery, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 23 by state police troopers in the Hudson Valley and charged with first-degree criminal sex act and first-degree sex abuse, both felonies.  An investigation revealed that Hernandez sexually abused the minor between 2010 and 2012 while he was employed at the Golden Shoe Training Center in the town of Crawford, state police said. Long Island Man Killed After BMW Crashes Into Car, Tree, Shed A 35-year-old man was killed after the BMW he was driving went off the road and crashed into a parked car, fence, tree and shed overnight on Long Island. It happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 in Port Jefferson Station. Joel Almanzar, of Port Jefferson Station, was driving the 2014 BMW sedan on Green Avenue, off Bicycle Path, when the vehicle veered off the roadway, hit the parked car and continued through the fence before striking the tree and shed, Suffolk County Police said. Almanzar was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
