Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Death Of 8-Year-Old At Long Island Residence Under Investigation Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a child. Seventh Precinct police officers responded to a report of an 8-year-old boy who fell in the driveway of a residence, located on Bittersweet Lane, on Friday, Jan. 17 at approximately 9:40 a.m., Suffolk County Police said. The child was transported to Long Island Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy.  No further details have been released. Two Charged After Teen Is Stabbed At Lirr Station Two juveniles have been apprehended after a teen was slashed at an LIRR train station. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 17 at 3:40 p.m. in Manhasset, Nassau County Police said. The fire started around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 in the rear of a home on South Middletown Road before spreading from the yard to the space under the home's deck, Orangetown Police said. NY Store Among Six New JCPenney Store Closures Announced A New York location is one of six JCPenney stores nationally that will be closing by the end of April. Long Island Man Killed After SUV Crashes Into Trees A Long Island man was killed after an SUV crashed into trees off the roadway. The incident happened Friday, Jan. 17 just after 11:30 a.m. in Stony Brook. Ian Brown, of Medford, was driving a 2000 Lincoln Navigator eastbound in a parking lot when it crossed Hallock Road south of Millbrook Road and crashed into multiple trees, Suffolk County Police said.
