Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

IDs Released For Three Killed In One-Car Southern State Parkway Crash Three people who died from injuries sustained in the one-car crash on the Southern State Parkway late last week have been identified. First responders were dispatched to a stretch of the parkway at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, when the westbound crash involving a 2015 Infinity sedan was reported in Islip, state police said. The crash temporarily caused police investigators to close down westbound lanes near exit 41A. Pier 1 Will Close Nearly Half Its Stores Amid Bankruptcy Speculation Pier 1 Imports announced it will close up to 450 stores, nearly half of its 942 outlets. The news comes amid rumors unconfirmed that the retailer will soon file for bankruptcy and after another quarter of declining sales and losses. Pier 1 said sales decreased 11.4 percent compared to the third quarter of fiscal 2019. Pier 1, which did not reveal the timetable for store closures, said it plans to shut down some distribution centers and reduce its corporate headcount while also slashing expenses.
