Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man, 51, Charged With Rape Of 28-Year-Old Woman In Area A 51-year-old man has been charged with the rape of a 28-year-old woman in the area, state police said. State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Brian J. Ozzone, 51, of Poughkeepsie on Tuesday, Dec. 31. An investigation conducted by the state police revealed that Ozzone had engaged in sexual conduct with the Wappinger Falls woman, who was unable to consent, police said. Ozzone was charged with second-degree rape. Ozzone’s next scheduled court appearance is in the Town of Wappinger Court on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

A man and woman are wanted for allegedly using credit cards stolen from the wallet of a purse at Panera Bread in Fairfield, Fairfield Police said. The wallet was stolen at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, according to police. At approximately 3 p.m., the credit cards taken from the wallet were used at both Target and the Apple Store within the Westfield Trumbull Mall, police said. Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck By Mercedes On Long Island A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a Mercedes-Benz on Long Island. The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 in Manhasset. According to Nassau County Police detectives, the 2014 Mercedes, operated by a 41-year-old woman, struck the 79-year-old victim near the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Allen Drive.  The victim suffered multiple assorted injuries and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. She was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
