Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Small Plane Crash Causes Southern State Parkway Lane Closures Two lanes on a stretch of the Southern State Parkway were closed after a small plane crashed into the adjacent woods on Long Island. It happened in East Farmingdale between exits 32 and 33 around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, near the intersection of routes 109 and 110 and the Republic Airport. ID Released For Victim In Fatal Overnight Long Island Shooting The victim of a fatal overnight shooting on Long Island has been identified. It happened on Saturday, Dec. 28 at approximately 2:50 a.m. in Wheatley Heights. First Precinct officers responded to Little East Neck Road, between Charlestown Place and Westmore Place, after a 911 caller reported a man lying on the side of the road, Suffolk County Police said.
