Police in Northampton County are seeking information and warning residents to stay alert after a woman reported being grabbed by an elderly man while running. The woman told officers she was running on the SV Rail-Trail between Water and Walnut Streets in Hellertown when she was confronted by an elderly man who “came out from the wooded area [and] grabbed her shirt as she ran by” around 9:30 a.m. August 20, police said. Sussex County native and electronic musician Joseph Michael Graziano died August 19 at the age of 25. Born in Newton, Graziano later moved to Maryland and graduated from Old Mill Senior High School in Millersville, his obituary says. Graziano had started a new job as an inventory specialist at Giant Supermarkets just a few weeks before his death, his memorial says. Hunterdon County native and deduction analyst Joshua J. Parikh died August 22. He was 27. Parikh lived in Califon and graduated from East Stroudsburg University, his obituary says. The Phillipsburg Animal Facility has been evacuated and shut down until further notice as a result of the heavy floodwaters that swept through the area Monday. Driver Hospitalized After Camry Hits Overturned Ford On Route 80 In Morris County
The driver of a Ford passenger vehicle was hospitalized after the vehicle overturned and was struck by a Camry on Route 80, state police said. The Ford passenger vehicle went off the road, reentered the road and overturned on Route 80 westbound near milepost 26.4 in Netcong just before 9:35 p.m. Saturday, NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. A Toyota Camry then struck the Ford, Goez said. The Ford driver was taken to Hackettstown Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. All lanes were reopened by 11 p.m., Goez said.

State Trooper Hospitalized After Jeep Hits Unmarked Police Car On Route 80 In Sussex County
A trooper was hospitalized after a Jeep hit an unmarked state police car on Route 80 in Sussex County Sunday afternoon, authorities said. The trooper had pulled the troop car over to assist the driver of a disabled Nissan Altima in the eastbound lanes near milepost 22.9 in Byram Township just after 3:45 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. A Jeep then struck the troop car while the trooper was inside, pushing the vehicle into the Nissan, Goez said.
