PA Man With Arrest Warrant, 26, Found With Meth During Motorcycle Stop In Northampton County A Pennsylvania man with an arrest warrant was found with methamphetamine when police stopped his motorcycle in Northampton County, authorities said. Charles Patrick Chieffo II, 26, was stopped near E. Moorestown Road and Sullivan Trail in Wind Gap as officers found that his registration was expired around 4:30 p.m. on August 25, Slate Belt Regional Police said. After failing to provide registration and insurance information, Chieffo was found to have a suspended license and an active warrant out of Monroe County, police said. Popular Madison Sandwich Shop Permanently Shutters A popular sandwich shop has permanently closed after six years in the Madison community. Slamwich Scratch Kitchen on Main Street made the announcement Friday on its Instagram page. “To our customers…it is with a heavy heart that I announce this weekend will be our last service,” the post says. Autistic Morris County Man, 23, Reported Missing UPDATE: The man has been located and is safe, police said. --------------------------------------- Police are seeking the public’s help locating a missing 23-year-old autistic man from Morris County. The man — whose name was not released — was last seen near Mendham Road in Morris Township, local police said. The man is around 6 feet 4 inches tall with a light complexion and red hair, police said. He was last seen wearing Crocs and blue and white pajama shorts, police said. Northampton County Man, 44, Accused Of Selling Meth, Report Says A 44-year-old Northampton County man accused of selling methamphetamine is facing several charges, authorities said. A search warrant carried out at the Palmer Township home of Nicholas Yankowy following multiple controlled purchases turned up an unspecified quantity of the drug in addition to scales and packaging materials, LehighValleyLive reports citing Easton Police Lt. Photos: SUV Goes Up In Flames On Route 78 In Warren County Fire crews were quick to douse an SUV that went up in flames on Route 78 in Warren County Thursday night. The Huntington Volunteer Fire Co. responded to the blaze on Route 78 westbound near milepost 2.8 just after 9 p.m., authorities said. Additional crew members arrived to assist with water supply and vehicle overhaul, the department said. The middle and right lanes were briefly shut down, and no injuries were reported.

Easton Father, Award-Winning Air Force Veteran Michael Hawk Dies After Covid-19 Battle At 54 Easton father and award-winning Air Force veteran Michael Christopher Hawk died at UMC Hospital on August 18 after fighting a difficult battle with COVID-19.
