Astorino's Privatization Plan For County Airport Running Into Opposition County Executive Rob Astorino's plan to privatize Westchester County Airport is getting national attention. The Wall Street Journal looked into Astorino's proposal, which would give a 40-year lease to a private operator to run the airport. Bids are due July 14 and the winning bid must be approved by a supermajority of the Board of Legislators.
