A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Defamation Trial Between Judge Judy's Son, Putnam Sheriff Set To Start Adam Levy, former Putnam County District Attorney, and son of TV's Judge Judy, will have his day in court this week. Levy's defamation suit against four-term Sheriff Don Smith  next week in state Supreme Court in Carmel. Jury selection was conducted last week. Smith was investigating Levy's personal trainer Alexander Hossu for raping a 13-year-old girl. Hossu was later charged and Smith accused Levy of interfering in the investigation and said Hossu lived with Levy in a press release. Hossu was later acquitted and Levy recused him from the case. Diego Puma Macancela, a 19-year-old Ossining resident who was detained Thursday, had been ordered removed by an immigration judge on Nov. 16, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said, disputing a claim by Ossining's mayor.  Puma Macancela, a native of Ecuador, is currently in ICE custody pending removal from the United States, ICE said. Indian Point Plans Shutdown Of Unit 3 BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- Indian Point's Unit 3 nuclear power plant will be removed from service Sunday night. The planned maintenance shutdown is to replace two water meals that sit between the lid of the reactor and the reactor vessel, Entergy, which runs Indian Point, said.  Operators have been monitoring slight water leakage past the seals during the last few weeks and are replacing the seals out of an abundance of caution, Entergy said. There is no threat of release of radiation to the environment and no threat to the public, Entergy said.

Yorktown Teen Charged After Choking Victim, Police Say YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old Yorktown resident, whose name is being withheld, was arrested Wednesday after he choked someone during a domestic incident. The teen was charged with Attempted Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a Class B misdemeanor. Police say he placed his arms and hands around a victim's throat, attempting to impede breathing. He was arrested at the scene and transported back for processing. He was released on his recognizance and is due back in court on June 22. A temporary order of protection was also issued.
