An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Veatch Fund Awarding Scholarships To Yorktown, Lakeland Students YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Justin Veatch's legacy continues to live on. Seven graduating seniors from six high schools will be honored in June when The Justin Veatch Fund presents each of them with a $1,000 music scholarship. The award comes with a personally inscribed metronome which has become synonymous with the honor. Tina Yu Wilson was named the new principal of Rye Neck High School by the Rye Neck School Board of Education. Her first day is July 1. Fishkill Student Earns Master's After Losing Mom To Cancer FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Amanda Pecorella, a Fishkill resident, overcame personal tragedy to achieve her second degree in two years. Pecorella graduated from Mount St. Mary with a master's degree in accounting/business administration on Saturday, one year after getting her bachelor's degree.
