Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Thousands Of Gallons Of Milk Spilled On Frederick County Roadway When Tanker Overturns: Sheriff There was no crying over spilled milk after gallons poured out when an overturned tanker truck overturned in Frederick County. At approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, April 14, members of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stretch of the eastbound lanes of Maryland 80 near Sugarland Parkway in Urbana to investigate the crash, which left the driver with serious injuries. Assault Rifle Seized In DC From Driver At Capitol Hill Inspection Site US Capitol Police busted a Maryland man with an assault rifle before it could get near Capitol Hill, authorities say. Michael Donohue, 57, was caught by investigators driving with “an assault rifle with an extended magazine” early on Friday, April 14, at a facility where vehicles heading toward the Capitol are inspected.
