An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Yorktown Man Violates Order Of Protection After Domestic Incident YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 51-year-old Yorktown man was arrested and charged Monday after police say he violated an order of protection. Thomas Fahey was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor after officers responded to a residence following a report of a domestic incident. An investigation revealed Fahey violated an order issued by the Westchestchester County Family Court of Protection that barred him from entering the residence, police said. Domestic Violence Services Comes To Northern Westchester SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Town of Somers is teaming up with other Northern Westchester communities to help victims of domestic violence. The Somers Town Board voted unanimously to spend $5,000 a year for a facility for victims of domestic service. Pound Ridge, North Salem, Lewisboro, and Bedford are also part of the initiative which was approved at the Sept. 7 meeting. The state Office of Prevention of Domestic Violence recently awarded the Westchester County Office For Women a $200,000 Risk Reduction Enhanced Response grant to cover two years of funding for the facility.

Ossining Food Pantry Hosting Annual Gala OSSINING, N.Y. -- For 29 years, the Ossining Food Pantry has helped feed people in need. Edward Delaney, 93, Yorktown Heights Native, World War II Veteran YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. --  Edward “Ed” J. Delaney passed peacefully at the age of 93 on Aug. 23 at his home in California.  He is predeceased by his parents Edward J. Delaney and Marie Josephine Leary in Boston, MA., his first wife, Marie Rose Dever and his grandson, Craig Edward Delaney. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II aboard the Landing Ship Tank 170 in the Pacific.
