Pedestrian Struck By Tractor Trailer On I-95 In Virginia (

A pedestrian was hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 in Virginia Monday morning, April 1, police said. The victim was a driver who had been standing outside of their disabled vehicle around 8:45 a.m. on the southbound side, Virginia State Police said. According to the VDOT, the crash happened in Triangle. Backups were approximately 10 miles long. The striking vehicle remained on scene while the victim was taken to Mary Washington Hospital, and later flown to the VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

DUI Driver Injures Firefighters At I-95 Crash Scene In Virginia: Police
A 25-year-old man was charged with DUI in a crash involving a fire engine on I-95 in Northern Virginia, police said. Juan Sara Cruz, 25, was operating a 2019 GMC pickup when he changed lanes and struck the drivers side of a Chesterfield fire engine in the southbound lanes at Willis Road, Virginia State Police said. The engine was on scene of another crash on I-95 at Willis Road. The fire department had the right lane and right shoulder closed, and their lights were activated. Man's Body Recovered From Schuylkill River: Philadelphia Police
The body of a man was recovered from the Schuylkill River on Easter Sunday, police said. The body was found floating in the river around 3:40 p.m. near Spring Garden Street, bringing a marine unit to the scene, Philadelphia police said. The deceased has been identified as a black male in his 30s, known as "John Doe." He was pronounced deceased at 5:10 p.m. by Medic 13. A 19-year-old Maryland driver is facing multiple charges in connection with a pursuit and several crashes on I-395 in Virginia, police said. Kennedy W. Mejia Medina, of Silver Spring, was in a Toyota Camry that was trying to race another car along the highway around 12:15 a.m., when Virginia State Police attempted a motor vehicle stop near Edsall Road in Fairfax County, police said. PA Driver, 48, Seriously Hurt In Early-Morning Route 78 Crash: State Police
A 48-year-old Pennsylvania man was seriously injured in a crash on Route 78 in New Jersey overnight, police said. The Coplay driver lost control in Clinton Township around 3:50 a.m. Sunday, March 31 and ran off the roadway to the right, hitting a guardrail near on the westbound side, New Jersey State Police said. The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The accident remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.

Range Rover Passengers Ejected, Seriously Hurt In I-66 Crash
Three people were hospitalized, two with life-threatening injuries, in a crash on I-66 in Fairfax County early Easter morning, police said. A westbound Toyota Camry lost control, hit the right jersey wall, and then came to rest in the left travel lane around 3:45 a.m. in Fairfax County, State Police said. Eleven people were displaced by a massive fire Easter weekend in Sussex County, officials said. Multiple fire companies responded to 39 Halsted St. in Newton around 10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 30 for a house fire with possible entrapment, responders said. A 48-year-old man was killed fleeing a minor crash when he crashed again Friday, March 29 on I-395 in Washington DC, authorities said. Ronald Jerome Jordan Jr. was heading north in a Chevy Malibu in the Third Street Tunnel when he rear-ended a Fort Transit Wagon and didn't stop, fleeing north in the tunnel around 5:30 p.m., DC police said. Charges have been upgraded for a New Jersey dad whose deceased 9-year-old son was found in a burning vehicle, authorities said.
