One Dead, One Seriously Hurt In I-81 Crash One person died in a two-car crash Monday, April 1 on Interstate 81 in Frederick County, police said. It happened just before 9 p.m. at mile marker 316 on the southbound side, according to Virginia State Police. One person died and another was hospitalized with serious injuries. The highway was closed for 3.5 hours.
