An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Man Pulls Knife During Jefferson Valley Property Dispute, Police Say A Jefferson Valley man was arrested and charged with menacing Sunday after he threatened a man who was doing lawn work with a knife in a dispute involving property boundaries on Wood Street. Vincent Lovallo, a 57-year-old Jefferson Valley resident, was arrested and charged with the Class A misdemeanor. Police said they made several unsuccessful attempts to reach Lovallo on Sunday but he finally turned himself in on Monday. The party that Rob Astorino helped found in 2014 is endorsing his Democratic opponent in this year's race for Westchester county executive. Curtis Sliwa, the chairman of the state Reform Party, said his party is endorsing State Sen. George Latimer in the race.  Astorino, who is running for a third term, founded the party in 2014 as the Stop Common Core Party when he unsuccessfully ran for governor, later changing its name. Armonk Hoopster Wins Gold Medal At Maccabiah Games For Benjamin Leff, a rising junior at Byram Hills High School, it was the trip of a lifetime. Leff was part of the United States' junior gold medal winning basketball team at the Maccabiah Games in Israel, an athletic event featuring Jewish athletes.
