An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Another Westchester Resident Appears On 'Wheel Of Fortune' PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Westchester County is becoming a farm system for "Wheel Of Fortune." Port Chester resident Missy Rosario appeared on the popular game show on March 14. Last week, Yorktown resident Robert Santoli made headlines when he won $76,076 on the show. A Port Chester police officer and lifelong resident of the village, Rosario won almost $12,000. Westchester Woman Celebrates 100th Birthday OSSINING, N.Y. -- Evelyn Solomons had a very special birthday Monday. Solomons, who lives at Atria on the Hudson turned 100 and was feted with a birthday party and a proclamation from Mayor Victoria Gearity. Gearity declared March 28 Evelyn Solomons Day in the Village of Ossining. The centenarian was born in Brooklyn but spent most of her life in Buffalo. Westchester Man Wins Big On 'Wheel Of Fortune' YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Robert Santoli, a Yorktown resident, now has to decide what to do with two cruises and $76,076, after winning big on "Wheel Of Fortune." Westchester Resident, 93, Publishes Memoirs OSSINING, N.Y. -- Audrey Rodgers, an Ossining resident, isn't letting her advanced age slow her down. The 93-year-old, who lives at the Atria on the Hudson in the village, has become a prolific author and recently published her new book, "A Tangle of Memoirs." The book is Rodgers' third since moving to the Atria. Rodgers, who lives with her dog, Mikey, spent 38 years teaching at the Penn State English Department with a specialty in modern American poetry. Actor Michael Rapaport Spotted On Woody Allen Set In Westchester BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. --Michael Rapaport is the latest actor to join Woody Allen's TV show, which is filming on Scarborough Road in Briarcliff. Rapaport, who has worked with Allen on "Mighty Aphrodite" and "Small Time Crooks" said he plays a cop on the TV show, which will stream on Amazon later this year. "Working with Woody is the best," Rapaport said. "He's amazing." Last week, Miley Cyrus, who also stars on the TV show was spotted at Whole Foods in White Plains last week. Westchester Fencer Heads To World Championships ARMONK, N.Y. -- Armonk fencer Sylvie Binder is getting ready to represent her country at the 2016 World Championships in France. Binder, 16, is raising money for the trip via a MyRally campaign. Ten percent of the funds will be donated to the United Nations Human Rights Office. The Armonk teen is part of the United States' national team for people under 19 and under 17 and competes against fencers all over the world.
