'Freeheld' Debuts, Putting Westchester In Spotlight On Big Screen GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh and Rye Brook residents will have a chance to see their communities on the big screen. Details Emerge In Child Porn Case Involving Yorktown Teacher YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Jeffrey Whalen, a 45-year-old Yorktown Heights resident and a teacher at Crompond Elementary School, was arrested and charged Tuesday with possessing and promoting child pornography. Former Sleepy Hollow Resident Joe Godfrey Debuts Off-Broadway Play SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Joe Godfrey, who grew up in Sleepy Hollow, is opening his new Off-Broadway play will keep audience members guessing. Man, 23, In Critical Condition After Bear Mountain Bridge Crash CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- New York State Police are investigating a Sunday accident between a car and motorcycle on Bear Mountain Bridge Road that left a motorcyclist in critical condition. Person Taking Video Of Shoppers Won't Be Charged, Say Yorktown Police SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- Yorktown Police announced they will not be charging a person who appears to be taking photos and videos of residents in a Shrub Oak shopping center because they are not violating any laws. North Salem Pianist Misha Dichter Against Moving Composer's Remains VALHALLA, N.Y. -- A famed pianist is speaking out against the idea of moving Russian's composer Sergei Rachmaninoff's remains from Valhalla to Russia. Man Threatening To Kill Himself Taken Into Custody In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A man in Yorktown who was threatening to kill himself was taken into custody by Yorktown police without incident Thursday. At 11 a.m., police received a call from a Fox Meadow Road residence claiming a family member was suicidal.
