Mount Kisco's Via Vanti To Expand At Chappaqua Train Station CHAPPAQUA, N.Y.-- Carla Gambescia, the owner of Via Vanti in Mount Kisco, is excited to give Chappaqua residents their own community space. Gambescia is close to a deal with the Town of New Castle to open a restaurant in a building at the Chappaqua Metro-North Railroad station. In July, the Town Board approved a $122,600 bid from Queens-based Meli Contracting Co. Inc to enhance the 111-year old building's foundation. Work is expected to be completed by the fall. Ossining Radio Station Transforming OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining-based WDFH may have ceased broadcasting over the air, but the radio station has not ended its commitment to serving the community.   The venerable public radio station (90.3 FM) stopped broadcasting at the end of July, being sold off to WQXR, a classical musical station operated by New York Public Radio. WDFH is looking to transform itself into a production company to assist nonprofits with establishing themselves. No reason was given for the closure of C and R Stationary, 26 S. Highland Ave. The store had come under fire from community members for selling drug and tobacco paraphernalia across the street from the high school. In the state, 31.1 percent of grade 3-8 students met or exceeded the ELA proficiency standard; 31 percent met or exceeded the math proficiency standard. Tractor Trailer Overturns on I-684 In Bedford BEDFORD, N.Y.--  A tractor trailer overturned early Tuesday morning on I-684 in Bedford. The accident occurred at 3:24 a.m. causing southbound I-684 Exit 5 to be closed for four hours. Traffic was diverted to the Saw Mill split and then back onto 684. It reopened at 7:50 a.m, though traffic was delayed for eight miles, according to the state Department of Transportation.
