John Egan, 84, Of Yonkers YONKERS, N.Y. -- John Egan, of Yonkers, formerly of Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland, died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 31, at age 84. Egan was the New York state past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and worked for Con Edison for more than 40 years.  He is survived by his wife, Katherine (nee Cunnane); his children, Ann, Maureen (Michael) McGorty, Kathy (Michael) Connor, Jack (Tawna) and Joseph; and his grandchildren, Kristin, Johnny, Caitlin, Julianne, Matthew, Tara and Brian.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Barnabas Church, with interment following a…

State Police Seek Suspect Who Used Stolen Debit Card At Shelton Gas Station SHELTON, Conn. -- Connecticut State Troopers are investigating the theft of a debit card and cash from a car parked in the Exit 13 commuter lot near Route 8 southbound in Shelton. Troopers from Troop I-Bethany were called to the commuter lot about 2:45 p.m. Monday to investigate a larceny from a state Department of Transportation vehicle, police said. The complainant said that when he returned to the vehicle, he noticed his wallet had been removed from his lunch cooler.  Troopers later found the wallet discarded on the ground in the commuter lot.
