Trumbull First Responders Revive Man Who Overdosed On Heroin
TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Trumbull police and emergency medical personnel revived a man who had suffered a heroin overdose Sunday by administering the drug Narcan, according to a report in the TrumbullTimes.com. This is the fourth time since July that Narcan has been used to revive an overdose victim in town, trumbulltimes reported. Sign Up For Greenwich Men’s Basketball Leagues
GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will have a registration/organizational meeting for the men’s basketball leagues at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center, 449 Pemberwick Road. Anyone wishing to enter a team or people who want to get on a team must come and register at this meeting. The league accepts resident teams and teams from Greenwich businesses and corporations. GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will present the play “A Christmas Carol” on Monday, Nov. 30, from 4-5 p.m. at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center. Tickets cost $7 per person. This program is specifically geared to children in kindergarten to sixth grade and will be presented by the Hampstead Stage Company. IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington High School athletes have had an impressive run this season, as four varsity teams –girls' soccer, girls' and boys' cross-country and girls' volleyball – continue to remain involved in post-season play. The undefeated girls' soccer team, at 17-0, won its Class B quarterfinal game, 5-1, against Ardsley, thanks to sophomore Zoe Maxwell’s four goals.
