LYNDHURST, N.Y. -- Nettie L. DeSantis , 91, a native of Lyndhust, died Friday, Oct. 2. DeSantis was born to Gennaro and Antoinette (Romano) Lamattina; raised there and graduated from Lyndhurst High School.
Before her marriage to Joseph F. DeSantis Sr. in 1955, she was an executive secretary for the Leslie Co. After her marriage, she moved to West New York and resided there for 55 years.
For the past five years, she resided at Juniper Village of Chatham. She was a wonderful cook, an avid sports fan, and loved reading novels and newspapers. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph of the Palisad…

MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- Rachael Falco Liccardi, 94, a longtime resident of Midland Park, died Monday, Sept. 28, in Greenville, N.C. Liccardi was born in Jersey City but lived most of her adult life in Midland Park, where she was a founding member of the Church of the Nativity. For the past three years, she resided in Greenville, N.C., to be near her daughter.
She was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

Darien Arts Center Features Visual Arts, Dance Classes For Kids
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center, currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, is offering a multitude of classes in dance and visual arts for children from age 3 through high school this fall. Here is a sample of some of the upcoming classes:
Dance: "Dance Beginnings," ages 3-4. Pre-ballet, ages 4-5. "Kinderballet," a continuation of the ballet curriculum from pre-ballet. "Kinder-Jazz/Hip-Hop," kindergarten, build dance skills in this introduction to hip-hop techniques using lively pop music.
