Cruger, age 87, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, April 22, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Cruger was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Vern and Gladys (Seaver) Baker. She married Thomas J. Cruger on June 3, 1950, at St. Stanislaus Church in Pleasant Valley. Her husband predeceased her on Nov. 5, 2011. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie and the Red Oaks Mills Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Valhalla Track Team Excels At Relays MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Valhalla High School's track and field team had a great weekend at the 2016 New York Relays as many students earned personal best records. On April 15 and 16, the athletes competed at the Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island and performed very well against several strong teams.
