Sherman Library Hosting Adult Book Discussion BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- An adult book discussion will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 15 at the Sherman Library in Brookfield.The book will be "Age of Ambition: Chasing Fortune, Truth and Faith in the New China" by Evan Osnos with discussion led by Barbara Griff. The New Yorker's China correspondent from 2008-13, Osnos has both lived and studied in China and is fluent in Mandarin.  The non-fiction work is a winner of a National Book Award. Doctors Honored At Lawrence Hospital In Bronxville EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- New York-Presbyterian and Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville honored its physicians with special events in observance of National Doctors Day on Wednesday, March 30. With ads in local papers, posters in the lobby, special meals and parties, the Hospital found various ways to show their appreciation to its medical staff.  About 50 physicians and surgeons gathered together at a local restaurant for one of the celebrations.
