Byram Hills Honored For Outstanding Music Education Program
ARMONK, N.Y. -- Byram Hills has been honored with the “Best Communities for Music Education” designation for its commitment to music education.Byram Hills is one of seven Westchester County school districts – and just 476 districts nationwide – to receive the designation from the NAMM Foundation. POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Join friends and neighbors to spruce up Murphy Park, the Middle Main neighborhood, and the Fall Kill Creek at a community clean up on April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. Irvington Eighth Graders Explore History, Phone Tapping Constitutionality
IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington Middle School eighth-graders in Dr. Jeffery Rieck’s social studies class recently explored the 1920s and the issues that revolved around the 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.“As part of their study, they read about the case of Roy Olmstead, a prominent bootlegger from Washington who was arrested after having his phone tapped by Department of the Treasury agents,” Dr. Rieck said.
