Connecticut Lowers Flags To Half-Staff In Honor Of Nancy Reagan
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Monday that, in accordance with a proclamation from President Barack Obama, flags should be lowered to half-staff in honor of First Lady Nancy Reagan.
U.S. and state flags in Connecticut will fly at half-staff immediately until sunset on the day of her interment.
Reagan, 94, died Sunday, March 6, at her home in Bel Air, Calif. She was first lady from 1981 to 1989.
Her husband, President Ronald Reagan, died June 5, 2004, at the age of 93.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. EST, according to Melissa Giller, spo…
