Bronxville Student Named New York Nat Geo State Bee Semifinalist BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Henry, an eighth-grade student at The Chapel School in Bronxville and the son of Stephen and Kathleen, has been notified by the National Geographic Society that he is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2016 New York State Bee. The contest will be held at the New York State Museum in Albany on Friday, April 1. This is the second level of the National Geographic Bee competition, which is now in its 28th year. Irvington Seventh-Graders Focus On Cells In Science Class IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington Middle School seventh-graders have been learning about the different structures and functions that make up plant and animal cells. Brewster High Softball Star Milena Strano Signs Intent To Manhattanville BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Brewster High School softball star Milena Strano signed a letter of intent to attend Manhattanville College in Purchase in the fall. Lakeland Education Foundation Honors Four At Dinner Dance YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Lakeland Education Foundation (LEF) honored four members of the Lakeland Central School District community at its annual dinner dance on Saturday.This year’s honorees were Thomas and Vanessa DiLorenzo of Funflatables, Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School Principal Robert Bergmann, and Board of Education Trustee and former LEF Treasurer Michael Daly.
