'Breakfast With The Easter Bunny' In Rockland Benefits Visually Impaired SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Association for the Visually Impaired (AVI) will present its first “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” on Saturday, March 19, at Red Lobster, 198 W. Route 59, in Nanuet. A hot buffet breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon. For the added comfort of our guests, there will be two seatings: 8 to 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. to noon. Ridgefield Independent Film Festival Makes Official Selections RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Twenty-four community screeners have completed the daunting task of selecting films for the first Ridgefield Independent Film Festival, which will be held May 20-22 at various venues in Ridgefield. Close to 200 films from 34 countries were submitted to RIFF for consideration during the submission period, which was June 15, 2015 to Jan. 1, 2016. Nichols Fire Department In Trumbull Conducts Weekly Drills TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The Nichols Fire Department in Trumbull conducted a weekly drill recently using the self contained breathing apparatus. Skill topics that were covered included a SCBA donning timed team competition. An SCBA pile up drill was finished off with a game of dodgeball in full gear and SCBA. The young guys defeated the old guys in a multiple game set.  There was a great turnout with more than 20 members.
