Housing Authority In Bridgeport Gets $3.8M From HUD
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced $23.4 million in aid to housing authorities across Connecticut, said U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (CT-4). Four areas in the 4th District received a total of $6,268,644 divided as follows:
Housing Authority of the City of Bridgeport: $3,876,098
New Canaan Housing Authority: $25,523
Housing Authority of the City of Norwalk: $1,272,166
Housing Authority of the City of Stamford: $1,094,857

Ridgefield Independent Film Festival Makes Official Selections
RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Twenty-four community screeners have completed the daunting task of selecting films for the first Ridgefield Independent Film Festival, which will be held May 20-22 at various venues in Ridgefield. Close to 200 films from 34 countries were submitted to RIFF for consideration during the submission period, which was June 15, 2015 to Jan. 1, 2016. Films were rated on a point system based on the film’s originality, creativity, direction, writing, cinematography, performances, production value, pacing, structure, and music.
