Westport Residents Ride At SoulCycle For Al's Angels
WESTPORT, Conn. -- Kelly Takacs will lead a charity ride at SoulCycle in Westport on Saturday, March 12 to benefit Al's Angels.Al's Angels helps to provide holiday meals and gifts for children battling cancer, rare blood diseases and severe financial hardship. Contact Takacs at kellyanntakacs@yahoo.com to reserve a bike. A $75 donation allows you to ride in front row or front side bar while a $50 donation allows you to ride on all other bikes. The event will be held at 2 p.m. SoulCycle is located at 372 Post Rd. East in Westport.

Learn Musical Notation At Danbury Area Computer Society Meeting
DANBURY, Conn. -- At the March general meeting of the Danbury Area Computer Society, Chris Aher will demonstrate the production and playback of music using musical notation software. Aher is a professional musician and an experienced user of music software, which he uses to produce digital music and video. The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 in the Danbury Hospital's Robilotti Conference Center. DACS general meetings are free and open to the public. Darien Arts Center To Stage Play On Shakespeare's Political Plot
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center will stage a production of "Shakespeare and the Heart’s Desire", a play written by Mary Jane Schaefer. The one-night staged reading takes place on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. and tells a story of political intrigue and a true event in William Shakespeare’s life, as well as his involvement in a plot to overthrow the throne. POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A layup by Lakeland High School alum Tori Jarosz with 1.8 seconds remaining gave Marist College a 64-63 victory over over Fairfield University on Sunday at Marist's McCann Arena. Malloy Proposes Reforming Alcohol Pricing To Lower Costs
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has introduced legislation to modify a 1981 state law that mandates that retailers of alcoholic beverages sell their products at certain, and artificially high, prices. The proposal will put the authority to determine the prices of these products back into the hands of retailers and out of the hands of government. Currently, Connecticut is the only state in the region with a law requiring that retailers of alcoholic beverages sell their products at a minimum price determined by the wholesaler industry.
