Bridgeport's Boys And Girls Village Gets $2.16 Million State Grant BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Boys and Girls Village, with locations in Milford and Bridgeport/Black Rock, has been awarded a $2.16 million grant from the state’s Nonprofit Grant Program. BGV’s grant is the largest in this third round of grants under the program, which is providing $15 million to 34 nonprofit agencies statewide.  BGV will use the money to create a new purpose-built facility that can accommodate more sophisticated programming on its campus in Milford. Mount Pleasant Ice Cats Knock Off Byram Hills MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Mount Pleasant Ice Cats got the best of Byram Hills on Sunday, Feb. 21, beating them 11-4 in Brewster. The Ice Cats are a combined team from Westlake, Pleasantville, Briarcliff Manor and Valhalla.  Eight players combined for the 11 points: Captain Greg Kramer with three goals; Captain Matthew Bramson with two goals and Captain Michael Sala with 1. Freshmen Vincent Spaziante, Shayan Farjam, Dominick Fensore and Henry Garnter each had a goal in the win. Senior Jack Carlucci had a goal as well.
