United Way Honors Allison Stockel Of Ridgefield Playhouse As Hometown Hero RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Allison Stockel of Ridgefield is being honored by the United Way of Western Connecticut as Hometown Hero. As executive director of The Ridgefield Playhouse, she devotes her time to running the theater and donates her entire salary back to the playhouse.  Stockel developed outreach programs, including Arts for Everyone and Arts in Education, that help make theater and the arts accessible to everyone.
