Ramapo Central BOE Member Honored By County School Boards Association RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo Central School District Board member Maureen Danzig received the Rockland County School Boards Association's EDDY Award for excellence in school board service.Danzig was first elected to the Board in 2010 and has served two three-year terms. She earned RCSBA recognition for her advocacy work to eliminate the gap elimination adjustment, as well as her support of the district's students and schools.  The EDDY Award was presented at RCSBA's annual dinner on June 15.

Ramapo Police Respond To Accident On Saddle River Road RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police responded to the scene of a car crash at 4 a.m. Tuesday when a car crashed into a utility pole on Saddle River Road just south of Grove Street in Monsey. The driver in the accident was transported to the hospital by Spring Hill Ambulance.  Saddle River Road was closed in the area pending removal of the vehicle.

The library board said it working on plans to provide vending machines as a short term solution, while it evaluates future plans for the café area.
