Ramapo Police Find Drugs, Paraphernalia During Traffic Stop RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Ramapo Police officer stopped a car that cut him off, and when he approached the car he could smell marijuana and the occupants turned over a small amount.  The 19-year-old male passenger from Bloomfield was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Also recovered from the vehicle was a metal grinder, a pipe, and a small piece of aluminum foil containing LSD.  The driver, a 19-year-old female from Bloomfield admitted it was hers and she was arrested on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Starbucks Jumps The Gun On Price Increase Starbucks Coffee patrons paid slight price for their lattes and cappuccinos a week early, according to CNBC.com. The company said Friday that a price increase meant for July 12 was prematurely initiated and that the glitch in the system has been repaired.  There have been price increases the last two years in the same time frame, the first week of July, according to CNBC.com. Community Foundation Staff Help Out At Humane Society In New Rochelle NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The staff of the Westchester Community Foundation in Hartsdale spent Monday morning cleaning out a storage shed at the Humane Society of Westchester in New Rochelle.  Dozens of old, rusty crates, broken bird and small animal cages, and pieces of unusable old furniture were discarded for scrap and disposal, and all of the usable items were put back and organized. The day was organized through Volunteer New York.
