Aaron Judge Picks Up Dinner Tab For NJ's Tommy DeVito Aaron Judge, the current King of New York sports, did a kind gesture for Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito. DeVito, a Don Bosco graduate who lives in Cedar Grove, said in an interview with Peter Schrager, of FOX Sports, that he was recently dining in New York City when he noticed the Yankees slugger and 2022 MVP, at the table next to him. Man Fatally Struck By Train In North Jersey: NJ Transit A man was killed after he was struck by an NJ Transit train near Murray Hill Station in New Providence early Wednesday morning, Dec. 27, authorities said. At 5:05 a.m., a Gladstone Branch train en route to Hoboken, fatally struck an adult male pedestrian, NJ Transit officials said. No-Show Jersey City Contractors Conned Victims Out Of $200K: Prosecutor Three Hudson and Bergen County residents were arrested and charged this week after they were paid $200,000 to do contract work they never performed, authorities said. Nine Arrested In 'Drive Sober' Campaign: Bayonne PD Nine people have been arrested in Bayonne for DWI in December, as police aim to step up enforcement of drinking and driving. Robert Geisler, the chief of police, said six people have been arrested since officers started targeted patrols and charged with driving while intoxicated, while nine people have been arrested since the beginning of the month, Geisler said. North Jersey Lottery Players Get $50K In Weekend Powerball Drawing Two North Jersey Powerball players got to ring in the holidays on a lucrative note. Their tickets, one sold in Fair Lawn and the other sold in Hewitt, matched four of the five numbers as well as the red Powerball, winning $50,000 in the drawing held on Saturday, Dec. 23. Christmas Powerball: Two Bergen County Players Win $50K It was a very Merry Christmas for two Powerball players in Bergen County. Their tickets, one sold in Fair Lawn and the other sold in Edgewater, matched four of the five numbers as well as the red Powerball, winning $50,000 in the drawing held on Monday, Dec. 25.
