$50,000! Hudson County Lotto Player Wins Big A lottery player in Hudson County is now $50,000 richer. A ticket sold in Kearny matches four of the white balls in the Power Ball drawing held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, winning the second-tier prize. One Firefighter Injured In Bayonne Four-Alarm Blaze: Authorities (Updated) This story has been updated One firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling a four alarm fire that spread to two homes in Bayonne on Thursday, Sept. 21, authorities said. At 9:49 a.m, firefighters were on scene of a heavy fire in the rear of both 142 and 144 West 5th St., Bayonne Fire Chief Keith Weaver said. Bergen County Doughnut Shop Replacing Shuttered Hoboken Indian Spot Dipped Donuts is expanding throughout North Jersey. The donut shop, which opened in Cliffside Park in 2020, announced it is opening Dipped n' Smashed in Hoboken at 91 Washington Street. The restaurant promises to offer build your own donuts, smashed burgers, specialty shakes and hot dogs. An opening date has not been announced. The restaurant is replacing Curry Up Now, an Indian street food franchise, which had been at the location since early 2020.

'Rutgers Royalty': Basketball Legend Phil Sellers Dies At 69 Phil "The Thrill" Sellers, who rewrote the Rutgers Scarlet Knight record book and led the school to its only Final Four appearance, died on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the age of 69, the school announced. Sellers is the all-time leader in points scored and rebounds at the school and captained the famous Final Four team that went undefeated in the regular season and was ranked fourth in the country.
