National Cooperative Bank Funds New Rochelle Co-op Project WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – National Cooperative Bank has arranged $7.9 million in financing for four Westchester County cooperatives in Greenburgh, White Plains, New Rochelle and Yonkers. A portion of the funds for each property will be used for capital improvement projects. Harley Seligman, a vice president in the New York office of NCB, arranged two of the loans, totaling $3.85 million: A $3.1 million first mortgage and $500,000 line of credit for Regency Park Owners Corp., a 65-unit co-op at 25 Lake St., White Plains. Kayak and SUP rentals will be available. The 9-mile recreational kayak and stand-up paddleboard event on the Hudson River raises money and awareness for breast and ovarian cancer. South Salem Volunteers Assemble Backpacks For Kids In Need SALEM, N.Y. -- A Backpack Brigade of volunteers recently helped the educational charity Front of the Class assemble 1,000 backpacks of school supplies intended for in-need kids across upstate New York, as well as Westchester County and Fairfield County, Conn. The Backpack Brigade was made up of about 25 volunteers from Danbury, Conn., Katonah and Lewisboro, including kids from John Jay Youth Lacrosse, the John Jay Futbol Club and their families. "Envy: One Sin, Seven Stories" at the Hudson River Museum is part of "The Seven Deadly Sins," the inaugural exhibition of the Fairfield/Westchester Museum Alliance, a cultural collaboration begun in 2009.  Envy is interpreted by multimedia artist Adrien Broom in photographs and life-sized scenes from fairy tales.  Artistic signifiers of envy are seen all through the exhibition.
