Barbara Brandenberg Named Pleasantville Teacher Of The Year
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Barbara Brandenberg, a middle school guidance counselor, had been named the Pleasantville school district's 2015 Teacher of the Year.
The Board of Education honored Brandenberg, who works at the Bedford Road School, at its April 28 meeting.
The board also recognized the following students: Eighth-grader Andrew Skrzypczak, who won the school-level National Geography Bee championship and qualified for the state competition; Aliya Castoldi, Charlotte Harter, Ben June, Susannah Lahiri, Tim Peacock, and Sam Selesnick, winners of the eighth-grade writing contest sponso…
Funds Grow For Eastchester High School Bleacher Project
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Eagles Sports Club has raised commitments of an additional $5,250 in the Buy a Bleacher Seat Campaign for new seating at Eastchester High School.
Those funds have been received in the gold ($1,000), silver ($500) and bronze ($250) categories.
Among the contributors were the Schultz, Kutzin, Provenzale, Roche, Bellach and Dooley families along with the Eastchester Middle School PTA and Eastchester Teachers Association.
The amount committed to date is now $247,760 of the goal of $325,000.
