Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Brick Man Charged With Uploading Child Pornography With Kik App: Prosecutor A 35-year-old man from Brick Township has been charged with possessing child pornography, authorities said. Christopher Budelman was charged on Sept. 27, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Trio Charged With Dealing Cocaine On Jersey Shore, $18K Seized: Prosecutor Three Ocean County residents have been arrested and charged with dealing drugs, authorities said. This cooperative, multi-agency investigation identified three residences – two in Lakewood and one in Toms River - as being utilized by Ivan Contreras-Cruz, 41, of Toms River, Alberto Vasquez-Ventura, 27, of Lakewood, and Natalia Mihok, 49, of Toms River, to store and distribute illegal narcotics, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.  Warranted searches of the homes recovered approximately 100 grams of cocaine and nearly $18,000 cash, Billhimer said.

Authorities ID Pleasantville Shooting Victim, 55 Authorities have identified a man shot to death in Pleasantville. At 10:47 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4, Pleasantville police responded to a ShotSpotter notification on the 200 block of 4th Avenue. Police found Pleasantville resident Craig Wyatt, 55, unconscious and unresponsive outside a residence on Hendricks Street, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Wyatt was pronounced dead at the scene.
