Born and raised in North Haven, Connecticut, David was always fascinated with the concept of writing for a large publication and telling other people’s stories.

He decided to pursue that fascination after high school by attending Assumption College (now University) in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in English/Writing & Mass Communications.

David decided to continue his passion by obtaining a master’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College in 2020. Afterwards, he worked at WBZ NewsRadio in Boston as a digital and broadcast writer covering a wide array of stories.

Now, David is looking to continue his journalistic passions by giving others a platform to share their stories with a larger audience. He predominately covers Daily Voice's counties in the Greater Boston Area: Suffolk, Essex, Middlesex and Norfolk.

Shooting Victim Directed Baltimore Officers To Gunman Trying To Kill Him: Police A 19-year-old male has been arrested on accusations he tried to kill a 20-year-old male, Baltimore Police said. DeShun Smith was charged in connection with a shooting that happened at the 1300 block of West Cross Street on Monday, March 7, authorities said. The victim was said to have alerted police after he fled to the 1100 block of Sargeant Street after being shot by Smith, police said. Smith was taken to Central Booking Intake Facility and has been charged with attempted first degree murder.

Repeat Violent Offender Arrested In Baltimore Murder Case: Police A 51-year-old repeat violent offender from Baltimore is in custody again: This time, for murder, police said. Garrett Smith is believed to have killed 54-year-old Ahnmad Artis during a dispute on the 1800 block of Ashburton Street around 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, Baltimore Police said. Upon arrival, officers found Artis suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he later died. Loaded Gun, Pot Seized From Driver In Routine Traffic Stop: Anne Arundel PD A 26-year-old man pulled over in a routine traffic stop was busted with a loaded handgun and a small amount of marijuana, authorities in Maryland said. The loaded 9mm Taurus G2 was recovered from Nathaniel Hurley when police pulled him over near Hidden Brook Drive and Elvaton Road in Glen Burnie around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, Anne Arundel County Police said. Johns Hopkins & Umms Donating More Than $4 Million In Medical Supplies To Ukraine Two local colleges are coming together to help to healthcare professionals in eastern Europe. The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and John Hopkins Medicine (JHM) are partnering to send medical supplies, worth more than $4 million, to Ukraine in the aftermath of the Russian invasion. Police ID Maryland Husband & Wife Dead In Suspected Murder-Suicide Police have identified the Maryland couple killed in what they believe was a murder suicide on Tuesday, March 8. Dajuan Jennings, 39, is believed to have shot Neka Jennings, 42, before turning the gun on himself in a home on the 8600 block of New Bedford Harbour in Pasadena around midnight, Anne Arundel County Police said. Maryland Man Gets 28 Years In Prison For 2020 Shooting A Baltimore judge has issued the maximum sentence to a man for shooting another man in 2020, according to the Baltimore City State’s Attorney Office. Edward Foster was sentenced to 28 years in prison, with the first five years to be served without the possibility of parole, on Tuesday, March 8.
